ABC Certified Fitter - Mastectomy

An ABC certified mastectomy fitter is an individual trained and qualified to participate in the fitting and delivery of breast prostheses and mastectomy products and services. He or she is competent to practice within a scope of practice that is specific to fitting breast prostheses and mastectomy products and services.

Eligibility Criteria: ABC Certified Fitter – Mastectomy

• Completion of an NCOPE approved mastectomy fitter course; and
• 500 hours of mastectomy fitting experience. This experience can be prior to or following the completion of an approved mastectomy course; and
• Letter of recommendation from a professional referral source; and
• Completion of the ABC certification examination.
